The reporter learned from relevant parties that this special train will run on a regular basis to help deepen the comprehensive cooperation between China and Vietnam in the traditional Chinese medicine industry.

　　Pingxiang City (a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Chongzuo City, Guangxi) is the largest port city on the Sino-Vietnamese border. It is known as the "South Gate of China". It borders one city and three counties in Vietnam. The most convenient land route in Vietnam and even ASEAN countries.

Local officials said that the first launch of the special train of Chinese medicinal materials is an important measure to stabilize and smooth the industrial chain and supply chain and deepen the cooperation between China and Vietnam in traditional Chinese medicine under the situation of normalized epidemic prevention and control.

As a frontier window for China's opening-up and cooperation with ASEAN, Guangxi has formed a pattern of opening-up and cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, mainly from ASEAN countries and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, covering more than 40 countries and regions.

Guangxi has gradually become the main channel for the import of ASEAN Chinese medicinal materials. The variety and quantity of ASEAN Chinese medicinal materials entering customs through Guangxi ports have grown rapidly. Since 2020, the total value of goods has ranked first in China for two consecutive years.
