Experts, professionals and professionals from the tourism sector from all over the world will return to Dubai next week, when the Arabian Travel Market returns to the Dubai World Trade Center on Monday 9 May.

The event will welcome more than 20,000 visitors and more than 1,500 exhibitors during the four-day exhibition, which concludes on Thursday 12 May.

Seeing 112 countries on the show floor, ranging from Japan to Jamaica and South Africa to Italy, industry professionals will also have the opportunity to meet and discuss the latest trends from a variety of travel, including technology, transportation, sustainability, events and business.

On this occasion, ATM exhibition director in the Middle East, Danielle Curtis, said: “ATM 2022 will emphasize the importance of the travel industry, as we continue to meet the challenges of the (Covid-19) pandemic, while identifying how to move the industry forward.”

Curtis added: “The tourism industry has recovered very well and as a result we have seen a clear uptick in participation, with floor space increasing by more than 85% compared to last year and exhibitor space in the Middle East exceeding 2019 levels, and we now have the perfect opportunity. To hear from industry professionals, about the latest trends that are helping the industry recover, recover and thrive in many cases.”

In line with the exhibition's theme for this year, "The Future of International Travel and Tourism", ATM 2022 will unveil a new technology that will eliminate the need for business cards, and allow exhibitors and visitors to share details, brochures and marketing materials through innovative scanners and cards.

Adding to the technology focus at this year's event is the rebranded and rebranded Travel Tech, formerly called Travel Forward, where a range of exciting sessions will be held, including NEOM's vision and its strategy to create experiences Unforgettable by NEOM's General Director of Tourism, Andrew McEvoy, and elsewhere on the agenda, Emaar Entertainment CEO Zina Dagher will look at the future of visitor attractions and traveler trends, and what's next in distribution, attraction technologies and the guest experience.
