This is the fourth deadly anti-Israeli attack in less than a month.
Symbolically, this attack takes place on the day of the Israeli national holiday and only a few hours after the reopening of the esplanade of the Mosques, the Temple Mount, to the visit of the Jewish faithful.
In principle, as of Sunday, after several days of closure of the crossings, the Israeli authorities announced that the Palestinian workers could go again to their place of work in Israel.
Other relief measures were also planned for the next few days.
At this stage, the police have already decided to strengthen their arrangements for prayers this Friday in Jerusalem.
In Gaza, Hamas and Islamic Jihad welcome this new attack.
And in Israel, the extreme right is already exploiting this tragic event to attack the government of Naftali Bennett, which no longer enjoys a majority in the Knesset, the Israeli parliament.
The Israeli Prime Minister will have to take strong measures for the survival of his government coalition.
