Airbus' profit in the first quarter of 2022 was 1.22 billion euros, compared to 362 million euros in the same period of 2021. It therefore more than tripled in one year despite the effect of sanctions against the Russia after the invasion of Ukraine.

The European group, which delivered its results on Wednesday, said it had achieved a turnover of 12 billion euros, up 15% over one year.

Good results which “mainly reflect the increase in deliveries of commercial aircraft”.

The aircraft manufacturer delivered 142 aircraft between the start of the year and the end of March, compared to 125 during the same period in 2021.

We see more complexity ahead of us in 2022, but we remain focused on our objectives and ambition after a strong Q1 performance.

We are committed to meeting the demand of our customers, which is why we are now working to increase #A320 production to 75 aircraft a month in 2025. https://t.co/yGGtffP4YO
