After the entry into force of RCEP, most of these commodities will directly benefit from tariff reduction arrangements under the RCEP framework, further expanding the scale of trade and competition among member countries.

  According to Liu Hui, deputy director of Tianjin Customs, in the first quarter of this year, the value of imported goods under RCEP at Tianjin Port reached 820 million yuan, and the tariff concession was 13.72 million yuan.

In terms of exports, Tianjin Customs has issued a total of 688 RCEP certificates of origin, and the value of export visas is 239 million yuan.

In the first quarter, the average monthly growth rate of export visa goods value was 27%, of which the value of export visa goods in March increased by 152% month-on-month.

  Under the RCEP framework, China and Japan have reached a bilateral tariff concession arrangement for the first time, and more than 90% of the imported and exported goods under RCEP at the Tianjin Port are Sino-Japanese trade.

Since RCEP came into effect in South Korea on February 1, the import of RCEP-originated goods from South Korea at Tianjin Port has continued to increase. In March, the value of imported goods from South Korea under RCEP increased significantly by 226% month-on-month.

Businesses can print certificates with customs officers' signatures and visa stamps without leaving their homes.

  With the addition of the "certificate intelligent audit" facilitation measures, export enterprises can complete the whole process from submitting electronic application to self-printing of RCEP certificate of origin within 2 minutes.

At the same time, Tianjin Customs has approved 11 approved exporters under RCEP. Approved exporters can enjoy tariff reductions at the customs of foreign contracting parties with the declaration of origin issued by themselves.

  In order to ensure that import enterprises can enjoy policy dividends, Tianjin Customs also implemented guarantee release under RCEP in the first quarter, and the value of the benefits reached 270 million yuan.

Tianjin Customs also interacted with nearly 400 enterprises online through cloud lectures and one-to-one policy counseling.
