“The decision of the management of Fennovoima Oy to terminate the EPC contract with RAOS Project Oy causes us sincere disappointment ... The reasons for such a decision are absolutely incomprehensible,” the state corporation said in a statement.

It is noted that the initiative of the management of Fennovoima Oy was implemented without a detailed discussion at the level of project shareholders.

Earlier, the Finnish company Fennovoima announced that it had terminated the contract with RAOS Project JSC (a subsidiary of Rusatom Energo International) for the construction of the Hanhikivi-1 nuclear power plant in Pyhäjoki.
