CCTV news: The latest data released by the National Energy Administration on April 29 shows that in the first quarter, the national energy production capacity has steadily increased, and the energy consumption structure has continued to improve.

From the perspective of energy production, in the first quarter, crude oil production increased by 4.4% year-on-year; raw coal production increased by 10.3% year-on-year on the basis of a high base growth of 16% in the same period last year; natural gas production increased by 6.6% year-on-year; hydropower and nuclear power generation respectively. It increased by 12.7% and 6.9%, which was 9.6 and 3.8 percentage points higher than the year-on-year growth rate of national power generation.

From the perspective of energy consumption, in the first quarter, the growth rate of energy consumption was high and then slowed down.

The electricity consumption of secondary and tertiary production increased by 3% and 6.2% year-on-year respectively, and the city gas increased by 10.7% year-on-year, which was 6.6 percentage points higher than the national natural gas consumption growth rate.

The National Energy Administration predicts that the overall investment in energy projects this year is expected to be positive, and the planned investment in key energy projects has increased by 10.3% year-on-year.

International cooperation promotes sustainable development of renewable energy in my country

The National Energy Administration stated that the second phase of China's large-scale development of renewable energy projects in cooperation with the World Bank has been completed a few days ago. During the five years of the project, it has promoted the large-scale and sustainable development of renewable energy in my country.

According to reports, the second phase of the large-scale renewable energy development project uses US$27.28 million in grant funds from the Global Environment Facility, which can increase wind power generation by 1.024 billion kWh every year, replace coal consumption by 3 million tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 9.16 million tons.

The second phase of the project also supported the preparation and release of the first international wind power standard formulated by China, supported the research and proposed grid-connected specifications suitable for the construction and development of my country's offshore wind farms, etc. support.
