In the appeal, the legislator noted that, in accordance with the provisions of the Tax Code of Russia, combat veterans are entitled to a benefit - a deduction of 500 rubles when determining the tax base for paying personal income tax.

Thus, as he clarified, a military veteran working today, when paying tax, has the opportunity to save a maximum of 65 rubles - 13% of the tax-free amount of 500 rubles.

In today's economic realities, according to the deputy, this amount is extremely low, not capable of in any tangible way to affect the material condition of veterans.

“In this regard, I ask you to consider the advisability of amending the tax legislation in terms of increasing the amount of the tax deduction for combat veterans to 15 thousand rubles,” the text of the appeal says.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law recognizing combat veterans of participants in the operation in Ukraine.
