Opel takes you on a virtual journey to the beginnings of the company, and discovers the milestones that have marked 160 years of engineering, from the first sewing machines and bicycles "made in Rüsselsheim”, to the Opel Mokka-e.

On the microsite dedicated to the brand's 160th anniversary, visitors will find many Opel icons and bestsellers, as well as innovative vehicles that have broken records, such as the Opel Elektro GT.

Five decades ago, this electric prototype demonstrated on the Hockenheim ring what it was possible to do by not rejecting the slightest pollutant.

The journey through Opel's 160-year history leads to further groundbreaking developments such as the first fully electric vehicle suitable for everyday use, the Opel Ampera.

Besides the automobile, there are also 300 other objects, ranging from Opel sewing machines to aircraft engines.
