According to TASS, she stated this following a meeting with the country's employers' organizations.

As Ninova pointed out, more than 25 thousand enterprises, whose representatives took part in the meeting, provide 86% of the country's GDP.

These companies employ about 82% of workers in Bulgaria.

“The purpose of our meeting is to save the Bulgarian economy and industry, save jobs, reduce inflation.

Based on its results, we propose to the government to resume negotiations with Gazprom and gas supplies under the existing agreement.

In the meantime, this has not happened, make a decision and freeze the cost of gas at the level of current prices,” Ninova said.

Representatives of employers' organizations emphasized in their demands that Bulgaria must agree to pay for gas in rubles.

According to them, new intermediaries will lead to higher prices and the cost of gas, according to preliminary calculations, will rise by more than 30%.

Earlier, Gazprom announced a complete suspension of gas supplies to the Bulgarian Bulgargaz and the Polish PGNiG due to non-payment in rubles.

Bulgarian Prime Minister Kirill Petkov, in turn, said that the country's authorities would not agree to Russia's terms on gas supplies.

Economist Vasily Koltashov, in an interview with PolitExpert, spoke about the situation with the supply of energy resources to Europe.
