Li Junfeng, a partner of Sequoia China Investment and Dean of the Sequoia Carbon Neutral Research Institute, said on April 25 at the "Energy China" of the China News Agency Guoshi Forum that investment opportunities in the energy transition are obvious.

"Currently, China's energy consumption is 5 billion tons of standard coal, and it will still increase by about 20% in the future. The existing non-fossil energy accounts for less than 16%, that is, less than 800 million tons, and the energy consumption in 2060 is 6 billion tons. 80% of the carbon neutrality requirement comes from non-fossil energy, that is, 4 billion tons. Therefore, in the next 40 years, non-fossil energy production capacity needs to increase by 3.2 billion tons, with an average annual increase of 0.8 billion tons, which is an annual average investment opportunity ."
