April 26 is the 22nd World Intellectual Property Day. Some foreign media said that due to the weak protection of intellectual property rights in China, many foreign-funded enterprises in China are difficult to develop and make profits.

Gan Lin, Director of the Office of the National Leading Group for Combating Infringement and Counterfeiting Work and Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, introduced that the Chinese government has always treated the intellectual property rights of Chinese and foreign-funded enterprises equally and equally, and attached great importance to the protection of intellectual property rights of foreign-funded enterprises.

According to statistics, in 2021, foreign applicants will obtain 110,000 invention patent authorizations in China, a year-on-year increase of 23%; trademark registrations will reach 194,000, a year-on-year increase of 5.2%.

According to the "2021 China Business Environment Survey Report" released by the US-China Business Council, 95% of the surveyed companies continue to maintain profitability in China, and 74% of the surveyed companies regard China as the most important country or top five in their global strategies one of the key countries.
