“Today, April 26, Bulgargaz EAD received a notification that natural gas supplies from Gazprom Export LLC will be suspended from April 27, 2022,” the statement says.

The department noted that the Bulgarian side fully fulfilled its obligations and made the required payments.

Earlier, the Bulgarian authorities said they did not plan to renew the contract with Gazprom.

The current agreement between Bulgaria and Gazprom expires on December 31, 2022.

The Polish oil and gas concern PGNiG also announced that it had received a notification from Gazprom about the complete suspension of gas supplies from April 27.
