“Today, in April 2022, the Polish gas system is ready for such a circumstance as blocking all eastern entrances to Poland without the need to launch some kind of crisis management without the need to limit supplies to consumers,” RIA Novosti quotes Stempenya.

According to him, at the moment, Polish gas storage facilities are almost 80% full.

He also announced the availability of alternative sources of gas.

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said that Poland, in the matter of buying Russian gas for rubles, will proceed from whether the European Commission allowed it.
