There must have been a lot of people who were embarrassed today (24th) trying to get food delivered comfortably on a day off.

Before and after lunchtime today, Coupang Eats, the delivery app, was blocked nationwide for about 3 hours.

The customer's screen shows that the order has been placed, but the order details have not been delivered to the store owners.

Self-employed people demanded compensation, claiming that they ruined their business during an important lunch break on holidays.

<Reporter> Hyung-

jin Seong, who runs a Sundaek-guk shop, received more than 10 customer complaints during lunchtime today.

He placed an order and he was complaining about why they didn't deliver.

[Hyung-Jin Hyung/Restaurant Owner: I'm still getting calls.

I'll take the call.

yes, hello

What menu did you order?

There was an error in the Coupang Eats server, so dispatches were delayed a lot.]

This happened across the country for about 3 hours from 12 noon today.

The customer placed an order and paid for it, but the details of what food was ordered were not delivered to the store.

However, the order details were also passed on to the delivery drivers, so they tried to match each other repeatedly only after they arrived to receive the food.

Time passed and angry customers demanded cancellation one after another, but even that could not be done due to a problem with the app the store owners use.

[Hyung-Jin Hyung/Restaurant Owner: You are asking to cancel, but I do not see a function to cancel it in our app.]

Coupang Eats explained that there was a problem with the ordering system only around 3 pm.

In addition, they said they would contact customers who experienced problems later, but did not disclose specific compensation plans.

Another conflict is expected as the self-employed group is in a position to analyze the orders of the stores and collect damages.
