On April 21, Gansu's first international freight train of the China-Laos Railway (Dunhuang-Vientiane-Bangkok) in the new western land-sea corridor was dispatched in Dunhuang.

The opening of the train marks that this channel has become an important hub connecting Gansu with ASEAN.

According to the Gansu Provincial Department of Commerce, the Dunhuang-Vientiane-Bangkok international logistics channel is another efficient, economical, safe and convenient new route between Gansu and Southeast Asian countries. Compared with the traditional shipping cycle of 40 days, from Dunhuang to Bangkok can be Save 28 days.

The train transports 530 tons of asbestos, and adopts the transportation method of "one box to the end, one ticket settlement", that is, after packing and sealing from the Dunhuang freight yard, until the customer at the destination in Bangkok unpacks and unloads the goods.
