Dubai South signs an agreement with Discovery Land to develop a golf complex

In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation, Dubai South, the largest major urban development project focused on aviation, logistics and real estate, signed an exclusive agreement with the American company “Discovery Land”, which specializes in developing luxury real estate and operating Private residential golf club complexes.
Under the agreement, a two-square-kilometre luxury golf community will be developed and will feature luxury homes, luxury villas, an 18-hole golf course, and other premium amenities.
The agreement was signed by Khalifa Al Zaffin, CEO of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, and founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Discovery Land, Michael Meldman, in the presence of a number of senior executives from both parties.
Discovery Land had purchased the plot of land that will be used to develop the spacious complex, which will be built according to the highest standards, to be one of the best golf course complexes in the region.
The two sides will reveal more details about this extraordinary project in due course.
Khalifa Al Zaffin, CEO of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with a well-known international developer with a proven track record of developing luxury communities across the United States and other countries.
He added: "The new project confirms the attractiveness of Dubai to international investors, and the unique system provided by (Dubai South), as well as the advanced infrastructure capable of meeting the needs of companies and investors."
It is noteworthy that "Dubai South" was launched as a project for the Government of Dubai in 2006, and represents an emerging city on an area of 145 square kilometers according to its master plan.
Thanks to its location as a global commercial and residential center, and a major contributor to the social and economic growth of Dubai and the UAE, "Dubai South" offers the advantages of an ideal free zone for business and as a living environment, thanks to its diverse range of uses, to suit different lifestyles.
