Due to the redevelopment around "Takanawa Gateway Station" on the JR Yamanote Line, cultural facilities designed by world-famous architect Kengo Kuma will open in 2025.

JR East held a press conference in Tokyo on the 21st, and announced the details of the redevelopment around Takanawa Gateway Station in Minato-ku, Tokyo, which opened quietly.



According to this, in March 2025, two skyscrapers containing offices and commercial facilities will open.

And by the end of 2025, a 6-story cultural facility whose exterior will be designed by architect Kengo Kuma, who also worked on the new national stadium in Tokyo, is scheduled to open.



In this facility, there will be a corner where you can experience Japanese culture for foreigners on the floor with tatami mats, and you will also conduct a demonstration experiment of telemedicine using IT technology.



On the other hand, a part of the national historic site "Takanawa Embankment", which was found during the redevelopment work and was built in 1897 to lay the first railway track in Japan, will be considered for preservation and disclosure. ..
