Meng Wei said that in response to the issue of external uncertainties affecting the supply and price of potash fertilizers, the National Development and Reform Commission has recently guided key potash fertilizer production enterprises to increase production and supply, deploy 1 million tons of national potash fertilizer reserves, and actively organize expansion on the basis of previous work. The import of potash fertilizer, the smooth domestic transportation of potash fertilizer, and the promotion of reducing the cost of railway transportation have been implemented to fully promote the supply and price of potash fertilizer.

In terms of production, effectively enhance the domestic fertilizer production and supply capacity, promote the cessation of production enterprises to resume production and reach production as soon as possible, urge coal enterprises to fulfill the medium and long-term coal supply contracts signed with fertilizer manufacturers, and energy enterprises to ensure the stable supply of natural gas and sulfur to fertilizer manufacturers. Reasonably determine the price, and give preference to the electricity price of fertilizer enterprises when organizing electricity market transactions.
In terms of transportation, improve the guarantee level of the transportation capacity of chemical fertilizers and production raw materials, give priority to guaranteeing the domestic transportation of chemical fertilizers, implement the preferential railway freight rate policy for agricultural chemical fertilizers, and give priority to the unloading of chemical fertilizer production materials such as imported chemical fertilizers and sulfur.
In terms of reserves, urge the storage companies to sell the expired chemical fertilizers to the market as soon as possible, strengthen the follow-up supervision of the national potash fertilizer reserves in the early stage of auction, and urge the auction companies to strictly perform the contract.
In terms of circulation, improve the efficiency of chemical fertilizer circulation, speed up the entry of agricultural materials into stores and villages and households, ensure continuous storage, not out of stock, and not miss the time of farming, maintain a reasonable price difference between the purchase and sale of agricultural materials, and resolutely give benefits to farmers.
In terms of supervision, strengthen the coordination and cooperation of agricultural materials market supervision, carry out supervision and inspection on the production and distribution enterprises of special varieties of fertilizers, strictly investigate and punish illegal activities in the fertilizer market, continue to carry out in-depth special campaigns to crack down on counterfeit agricultural materials, and promote the stable supply and price of fertilizers such as potash fertilizers.
