Abu Dhabi Economy adds 80 new activities in 2021

The Abu Dhabi Business Center, affiliated to the Department of Economic Development in Abu Dhabi, announced the addition of 80 new economic activities during the year 2021, bringing the number of activities organized by it to 4,062 activities by the end of last year.

The added activities are distributed among different sectors, as the number of commercial activities added during the past year reached 40, professional 25, industrial 6, agricultural 5, two craftsmanship activities, and two activities in the tourism sector.

Among the most prominent commercial activities added during the past year are radio and television broadcasting services for encrypted and non-encrypted channels, e-sports event management, securities lending and borrowing agency, safe custody of guarantees, mortgages and insurances, general clearing of securities, buying and selling of securities for private account, and marketing of insurance products, And certificates of deposit services, remote trading of foreign companies’ securities, car mortgages, and investment in and establishment of social business innovation projects.

The added industrial activities include the manufacture of sensors and military communication systems, the manufacture of machines and machines for the manufacture of military equipment, the manufacture of military tools and supplies, the manufacture of military aircraft, the manufacture of military remote control systems, and the manufacture of medium military weapons.

In the agricultural field, the added activities include training in beekeeping, reptile and amphibian breeding, bird breeding (non-domesticated), aquatic creatures breeding, and mammal breeding (non-domesticated/wild), while the added professional activities include customs consultations, military aviation training, and management of Data and cyber security, specialized game quality assurance services, game localization services, and farmer training and qualification.

In the crafts field, activities added over the past year include military ship repair and maintenance, and engine cleaning services.
