The technical level is low, the output is small, and the variety is single. There are only two ordinary steel shovels, flat shovels and pointed shovels. They are mainly used in domestic agricultural production, and their appearance is not beautiful. They belong to a typical "ugly duckling".
After more than 40 years of development, the steel shovel industry in Songdaokou Town, Luannan County has already changed from a "family workshop" to a large modern factory.
According to the statistics of the Luannan County Government, at present, the Luannan steel spade industry has formed a large-scale industrial cluster centered on Songdaokou Town, with more than 180 enterprises and 13 enterprises above designated size, and 26 enterprises with self-operated export rights. It produces 280 million steel shovels and hardware tools, accounting for 85% of the domestic market and more than 90% of the national export share, with an annual operating income of 11 billion yuan and a profit and tax of 520 million yuan.
While the products are sold all over the country, they are also exported to more than 140 countries and regions in Southeast Asia, Europe, North America and Africa.
"The current steel shovel is no longer an ordinary agricultural shovel in the eyes of people. With the expansion of export business, the shovel industry has begun to be refined into multi-variety and multi-purpose, including hardware tools, garden tools, and gardening tools, and more and more The more beautiful it is, each one is developed and designed according to the needs of customers, like a piece of handicraft, there are huge shovels for snow shoveling, and three or four centimeters in size to loosen soil for flowerpots, small and exquisite, very beautiful." Luan Fu Changyi, president of the Steel Spade Association in Songdaokou Town, Nanxian County, said.
This year, due to the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in Tangshan in the early stage, local steel shovel enterprises pressed the "pause button", which affected the production progress of export orders.
After the epidemic was "unblocked", various local government departments did everything possible to solve the problems of labor, various raw and auxiliary materials and product transportation in the production process for enterprises, creating conditions for enterprises to resume work and production. At present, all steel shovel enterprises in the county have resumed work. Resumption of production, the resumption rate is 100%.
