Novak noted that the share of oil supplies to the EU countries from Russia reaches 30%, gas - 40%, and the share of Russian coal in Europe's total imports is about a third of all purchases.

OPEC Secretary General Mohammed Barkindo noted earlier that it is almost impossible to replace oil exports from Russia to the European Union. 

According to him, because of the sanctions, the world may face the loss of Russian oil exports up to 7 million barrels per day.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has warned that the West faces "hard times" ahead of weaning off Russian oil and gas.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said that Russia is an indispensable partner in gas supplies to Europe.
