“The minister urged market participants to supply coal to the domestic market, not forgetting its priority over exports, in the volumes necessary to ensure reserves, including in preparation for the autumn-winter period,” the statement says.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the topic of import substitution in the coal industry.

Russian Permanent Representative to the European Union Vladimir Chizhov said earlier that the imposition of an embargo on the import of Russian coal by the EU would not have a significant impact on the Russian economy.
