April 10th is the 14th day since Shanghai adopted a zoned prevention and control at 5:00 a.m. on March 28th. It is also the 21st day that Zeng Zhaobing, a 33-year-old errand rider, has been delivering orders on the streets of Shanghai.

During these 21 days, he has delivered supplies to the cabin, and he has also delivered food to cancer chemotherapy patients who have been unsuccessful in rushing for food for several days, but he has not received a cent.

He said: "Everyone remembers your kindness to others. Do good deeds with your heart, and no one says you are stupid."

The following is Zeng Zhaobing's own statement (slightly edited):

My name is Zeng Zhaobing, I am 33 years old, from Shehong, Sichuan.

I came back to Shanghai to work from my hometown on February 6, the sixth day of the Lunar New Year.

From about March 21, I received a lot of orders for the distribution of epidemic materials.

There are more than a dozen people in our group, all of whom are running errands in the same city, and there are more orders for running far away.

Under normal circumstances, I run about 30 to 50 orders a day. If it is closer, I can run 60 to 70 orders a day.

Now everyone sends about 20 orders a day.

Because compared with before, many areas are blocked and cannot go, so our basic running orders are within 5 kilometers.

What is really difficult at present is that the materials requested by customers are more difficult to buy.

Many customers ask to buy vegetables, meat or nutritional products. After I take the order, the first thing I do is to call the customer and tell him which items on the list may not be available, and ask if the other party is willing to find something instead.

Some customers buy a lot, and they can’t understand it when they call. We add WeChat to open a video to let customers see which alternatives to choose. This is a waste of time. It’s great to send more than 20 orders a day. Sometimes I help others to buy. It takes about an hour for an order.

Like vegetables, meat and fruits, we can basically find ways to buy them, but it is difficult for some customers to ask for food such as milk, bread, instant noodles, and ham sausages. Instant noodles are now "luxury goods". A box of instant noodles for 100 yuan can't be bought for 120 yuan now.

Drugs are generally ordered online by customers, and we go directly to the store to get them, but Lianhua Qingwen, antigen reagents, alcohol and other things are difficult to buy now.

Every day, many people ask me to help me buy cigarettes, which is more exciting than buying food, but to be honest, cigarettes are not necessary. I usually tell them that I don’t smoke either.

March 28, when the divisional prevention and control was first started, was the most difficult time.

There are many places where you can't even find the shadow of instant noodles, but it's been good for the past two days. Some small shops are not open for business, but you can communicate with the people inside and ask them to take out the things. Sometimes you can see instant noodles.

Most of the orders are not difficult to buy now. The most difficult thing is that they can't buy it, and the customer still wants you to find it for him. It feels like I'm lying to him.

Some customers simply say, you can set a price, and I will add money to you.

Who doesn't want to make money?

But is this about money?

However, most customers still understand us very well.

He will say that when you go to the supermarket, let's add a WeChat, look at the things, or take whatever you have, not necessarily buy according to the order.

Sometimes things can't be bought, and customers don't say much, so they cancel the order.

"Take the heart to the heart and do good deeds, no one will say you are stupid"

These 21 days, the more impressive list may have been given to the cancer chemotherapy patient.

I remember that it was around 4:00 pm on March 31st. I went to deliver food to my quarantined colleagues. When it was about to arrive, the captain asked me: "You don't have an order in your hand, don't take the order, there is an urgent matter for you to take a look at. "I saw that it was a cancer patient who came to Shanghai from Shanxi for chemotherapy, and needed to buy spare ribs, millet, tomatoes and cucumbers.

My first reaction was that no problem, I'll deal with it right away.

Because my father passed away due to cancer, I especially understand the feelings of the family members.

Why does he need these things?

Because a cancer patient can't eat any food during chemotherapy, he needs to use a wall breaker to make these things into a porridge-like liquid food and enter it through a tube.

I ran through the 4 or 5 stores that were open in my impression. Half an hour later, I really couldn't buy what he needed.

I called my colleague for help. He still had the order in hand, but he still bought it for me first.

At that time, my colleague was still 5.5 kilometers away from me, so I hurried over by bicycle.

Unexpectedly, it rained suddenly on the way, and it was getting bigger and bigger, and I didn't dare to ride too fast.

After getting something from a colleague, I rushed to deliver it to the customer and found myself soaking wet after delivery.

In fact, the raincoat was also in the car, but I was in a hurry at the time, thinking that the work clothes might be waterproof, so I didn't have time to wear it.

After sending it over, it was the father of the begging person who came down to get it, and the mother of the begging person who was suffering from cancer.

At that time, he asked me how much it was. I said that I don't want you to pay, and I said wishing a speedy recovery, and left.

Before buying something, the captain said that the delivery fee is no longer needed, and he gave me the money first.

I said who still thinks about the delivery fee, I don't want the money to buy things.

It cost a total of 212 yuan to buy things, and then the captain gave me the money.

I said that if the company does not reimburse us later, we will each have half of the money. We are both young, and we can earn more than 100 yuan at any time.

Later, the helper sent me a text message, saying, "We are strangers. You are willing to lend a helping hand to me, and I will, like you, extend a helping hand to those in need." I was very moved after reading it.

Two days ago, because no one took the order and others were not familiar with the situation, the helper contacted me privately. I was busy at the time, and later called back to ask about the situation. She said that she can hold on for another two days.

You really can't hold it anymore when I say it, call me, and I'll find a way to find some for you, but I can't guarantee it, first find a way to buy some spare ribs and the like to eat first.

I think people compare their hearts to doing good deeds. No one says you are stupid. No matter whether others can remember them or not, you just need to feel comfortable in your own heart.

"I'm actually scared too"

Sometimes I encounter some special circumstances, and I am also afraid and dare not go.

I remember a female customer who lived in the cabin asked me to buy towels and other daily necessities. At first, I didn't want to go because the other party had already been diagnosed and it was more dangerous.

But she told me that she still has a child. Although she did not test positive, she still lives in the cabin with her because there is no one to take care of her at home.

As soon as I thought about children, I changed my mind. I thought about buying some for the sake of the children and keeping them away.

In the square cabin, food cannot be delivered at all, but daily necessities can.

Last time, a customer called me and asked me to help his mother buy some daily necessities such as teapots, tableware, spoons, etc. Because his mother was already in the centralized isolation point at that time, no one dared to take orders, he kept saying good things, I thought about it and bought it.

Later, his son transferred me a tip of 100 yuan, which also wrote "Thank you, retrograde, I hope you will also take care of yourself." His mother also called specifically to say thank you and said a lot of nice things.

I was very moved at the time, at least the other party knew about my efforts.

On April 9, the customer asked Master Zeng to help deliver flowers. After he got the flowers, he took pictures and sent them to a circle of friends.

There are still many such things. Many people who are quarantined are very happy to see that we have bought something for them and taken it.

For example, some customers will give tips, we say thank you to him, and he will reply, I should thank you, I really appreciate it, you have worked hard.

"I don't want to go to the supermarket again in my life"

To be honest, in the past four or five years running outside, I have never felt so tired now.

Going out at 7 in the morning and coming back at 8 in the evening, I run around in the supermarket to buy things almost every day, and I never want to go to the supermarket in my life.

When I was busy some time ago, I basically went out in the morning and didn't have a meal until the evening. If I was hungry in the afternoon, I would eat some small bread. In the past two days, there is a store where you can buy fried noodles and box lunches. We go to buy two boxes in the morning. I put it over there.

At present, it is a bit difficult to want to eat meat. It is not always possible to buy cooked meat, and there is no place to cook raw meat.

On the 21st, the place where I lived was sealed off and I couldn't go home.

So I stayed at my friend's place for a few days, and then my friend's place was blocked. I found a small SUV and slept in the car for the past few days.

My mother called me every day and sent messages, saying that I was worried to death, which made me feel very uncomfortable.

But I have to comfort her and say don't be afraid.

My son is in junior high school, and the family relies on me to support him.

My mother always said what to do at home if something happened to you.

They kept telling me not to run and hide at home.

I said, hide and don't make me sick.

In fact, on March 22, Shanghai can still enter and exit normally.

Everyone in my family called me and told me to go home. What I thought at the time was that it would be over for a few days and just stay.

But now that I have chosen to stay, all I can do is to take precautions.
