The system for covering the fixed costs of nightclubs and dance bars that had to close due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be expanded and supplemented with new aid, according to a decree published on Tuesday in the Official Journal.

Aid known as “reinforcement” from the government

Establishments closed in December 2021 and January 2022 will be able to benefit from so-called "reinforcement" aid from the government, which compensates for certain costs of companies over these two months, as soon as they can justify a loss of 30% of their turnover. business, instead of 50% until now.

To take this change into account, the deadline for submitting aid applications has been extended until 30 April.

The decree also establishes “additional aid”, which corresponds to 50% of the aid received for the month of December.

“It is paid automatically, without any action on the part of the companies, by the general direction of public finances”, he specifies.

The device of "fixed costs" had been introduced for nightclubs by a decree of January 4.

It makes it possible to offset 100% of the so-called “reinforcement” charges, which correspond in particular to taxes, salaries and social charges as well as purchases consumed.

Nightclubs and dance bars have since reopened on February 16, after two months of closure linked to the pandemic.
