New facility

According to the company's statement, the ground service provider's expansions have led to dnata City East's largest off-site cargo handling operations in the UK's largest commercial aviation hub.

The new 10,500 sq m facility (Phase Two) is designed to operate adjacent to the existing dnata City East facility, which covers an area of ​​22,500 sq m (Phase 1), which opened in September 2019.

Operations distribution

dnata will handle all air freight operations for Virgin Atlantic Cargo and Delta Cargo at the dnata City East facility.

The “outgoing shipments” will also remain in the first stage of the “dnata” facility, while the new expansion serves all “incoming shipments”, allowing the two carriers to significantly expand their handling capacity.

With this, dnata now provides freight services at eight facilities in London Heathrow, including dnata City East, with a team of more than 750 professional employees.

dnata's facilities provide advanced cargo-handling infrastructure and services for more than 30 international carriers in one of the world's leading shipping destinations, at a time when dnata handled more than 500,000 tons of cargo in London in 2021.
