The Honda Civic Type R is expected to arrive in Europe by next fall.

It is therefore still in the development phase.

However, this did not prevent him from breaking a lap record on the Suzuka circuit, a record held by… the previous Civic Type R, in this case the Type R GT Limited Edition.

The future model (11th generation of Civic and 7th of the Type R) should come in looks less inspired by the world of tuning.

We certainly won't complain.

Especially since the performance will be even better, in particular thanks to the evolutions of the same 4-cylinder 2-litre turbo which, in the old model, developed 320 hp and 400 Nm.

On the very technical and very fast Suzuka circuit (Japan), the new Type R completed a lap in 2 minutes 23 seconds and 120 thousandths, or 873 thousandths less than the previous model.

There will be sports!
