"Zhongke Aerospace Flight Technology Industrialization Base Project (hereinafter referred to as "Zhongke Base") is scheduled to be completed and put into trial operation in August 2022. The base mainly focuses on mass production, testing, assembly testing and launch of launch vehicles as the core business positioning ." Hu Xiaowei, general manager of Zhongke Aerospace (Guangzhou) Equipment Industry Co., Ltd., introduced in an interview with reporters on the 10th that after the base is completed, it will help Guangzhou and surrounding areas to form a gathering highland for commercial aerospace in Guangdong Province and create a new growth in China's commercial aerospace. pole.

In the Dagang Advanced Manufacturing Base in Nansha District of Guangzhou City, the Zhongke Base with a total investment of about 390 million yuan has been fully capped, and an industrial closed loop from satellite and rocket manufacturing to launch services, measurement and control operations, and satellite applications is being formed.

According to the Nansha District Government, the Zhongke Base, as China's first full-industry-chain commercial aerospace industry base, will be able to produce 30 solid launch vehicles a year after completion, which will boost the development of high-end equipment such as centralized traction launch vehicles, aerospace power, and satellite development. Manufacturing resources, measurement and control operation and maintenance, launch services, key components and other upstream and downstream related aerospace companies have landed in Nansha.

"The Zhongke Base mainly carries out the development, production, testing, final assembly and testing of serialized solid and liquid launch vehicles." Hu Xiaowei revealed that after the base is fully completed, it can achieve an annual output of 30 launch vehicles. "These rockets will be used for Chinese commercial vehicles. The launch of space satellites, especially the launch of medium and large constellations in low orbit, provides a powerful tool for orbiting."

"The aerospace industry needs strong product support and a wealth of high-tech talents. Nansha and even Guangdong have developed high-end equipment manufacturing industries, especially in communication electronics and software. This has created an opportunity for the development of commercial aerospace in Guangdong. Our follow-up research and development can form a strong support." Hu Xiaowei told reporters that the reason why he chose to establish a commercial aerospace industry base in Nansha mainly considered Nansha Binhai, which has certain advantages in launching commercial rockets at sea; at the same time, the industries near Nansha are complete, which is conducive to rapid development Form the upstream and downstream industrial chain of commercial aerospace.

The relevant person in charge of the Nansha District Government said that at present, the district is taking the China Science and Technology Base as the leader and supporting technological infrastructure such as hypersonic wind tunnels to build an aerospace industrial park, and cooperate with Nansha Science City to deploy the deep space field.

As the main carrying area of the National Science and Technology Innovation Center in the Greater Bay Area, Nansha gathers major scientific and technological innovation platforms such as Nansha Science City, Pearl Science Park, and the Guangdong Laboratory of Southern Marine Science and Engineering (Guangzhou).

Among them, the Guangdong Institute of Aerospace Science and Technology, the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, which is located in Nansha Pearl Science Park, is jointly built by Guangzhou City, Nansha District and the Institute of Mechanics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and is planned to be built into a world-class research and development institution in the field of aerospace science and technology.

The first phase of the South Center established by the institute has a planned construction area of 60,000 square meters and a total investment of 420 million yuan. It is planned to be delivered for use in July 2022.

The reporter learned from the Nansha District Government that in recent years, Nansha has been planning to use major scientific and technological infrastructure as the strategic support for cutting-edge research, build a national-level scientific research base, and promote large scientific installations such as hypersonic wind tunnels, cold spring systems, human cell lineages, and extreme marine scientific research facilities. The pre-research project is established to create a global technological innovation highland.

Located in the Pearl Science Park of Nansha Science City, the four major projects of hypersonic wind tunnel, cold spring system, human cell lineage, and extreme marine scientific research facilities are major scientific and technological infrastructures jointly launched by Guangzhou and the Chinese Academy of Sciences. , deep space and other frontier fields of science and technology.

"Now Nansha is taking the China Science and Technology Base as the leader and supporting technological infrastructure such as hypersonic wind tunnels to build an aerospace industrial park, coordinate with Nansha Science City to deploy the 'deep space' field, and build an international technological innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The main carrying area of the center. We can use these technological infrastructures to do experiments, and then transform the results in the industrial park.” Hu Xiaowei also mentioned, “The launch vehicle being developed has a carrying capacity of 1.5 tons, which can be reduced through technology and supply chain optimization. cost, with great market competitiveness.”

"The China Science and Technology Base will make up for the shortcomings of the rocket launch system and complement the existing industry. It will also drive relevant aerospace companies to settle in Guangzhou and promote Nansha to build China's 'Southern Aerospace City'," said Hu Xiaowei.
