China News Service, April 10th. Recently, Ferrero chocolate was suspected of salmonella infection, and the news of recalling products in many countries has attracted public attention.
Ferrero China issued a statement on Weibo on the evening of the 9th, saying that Ferrero China promises to consumers that all Kinder products produced in China and imported to mainland China (including on-the-go and official channels) are not related to the Belgian production plant involved. Any association is not within the scope of this recall.
The statement also said that Ferrero has suspended production at the Arlon, Belgium plant involved and is actively cooperating with local food safety authorities to investigate the salmonella incident.
