However, the number of Brazilian beef that falls into this frame has increased sharply due to the effects of the drought in Australia.

The US government announced on the 6th of this month that it raised tariffs because imports exceeded this limit at the end of March.

Until now, when exporting beef from Japan to the United States, the tariff on the United States was about 5 yen per kilogram.

The new tariff due to exceeding the limit will be 26.4%.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, beef of about 9000 yen per kilo, including transportation costs, will be subject to a tariff of about 2300 yen per kilo.
