JR Kyushu has announced the operation route of the luxury sleeper train "Nana Star" this season.

With the opening of the West Kyushu Shinkansen in autumn, we have newly established a route around Unzen City in Nagasaki Prefecture.

"Nana Star" operated by JR Kyushu is a popular sleeper train that travels around Kyushu while staying in luxurious guest rooms. ..

This time, along with the opening of the West Kyushu Shinkansen that connects Nagasaki Station and Takeo Onsen Station in Saga Prefecture in September, we have newly established a route around Unzen City in Nagasaki Prefecture.

After departing from JR Hakata Station and traveling around Oita and Kumamoto prefectures by train, you can enter Nagasaki prefecture by ferry to enjoy the hot springs of Unzen and board the Shimabara Railway.

In addition, we have refurbished a part of the car for the first time since the service started in 2013.

Due to the spread of the new corona infection, traveling with a small number of people has become popular, so we have reduced the number of guest rooms from 14 to 10 and the maximum number of passengers has been reduced by 10 from the past to 20.

In addition, we have set up a new tea room and a bar where you can enjoy alcohol.

Hidenori Matsuo, General Manager of Cruise Train Division of JR Kyushu Railway Company, said, "I want to revitalize the area while I can't go out easily due to the spread of infection. I want to send out wonderful tourism resources such as Unzen on the new route."
