Are there any vulnerabilities in the security of our plates at Buitoni?

The brand produces part of the Fraich'Up range, infected with bacteria such as Kinder from Ferrero or coulommiers from Graindorge.

A disturbing series of recalls targeting industrial giants engaged in a race for profitability.

This is the opinion of Maryse Treton, of the CGT agro-alimentary.

A worrying law of series of contaminations.

After confirmation of a link between Buitoni brand products and recent contamination with the E.coli bacterium, the Nord prefecture now prohibits the production of pizzas in the Caudry factory.

Buitoni is in turmoil, as are the Kinder and Graindorge brands.

What to ask the question about compliance with health rules, guaranteeing the safety of our plates.

The unions have taken up the subject and denounce the working conditions of those responsible for cleaning, but above all the unbridled search for profitability of the large groups in the food industry.

Shorter cleaning time in manufacturing plants

"We cut corners on the quality of raw materials, we cut corners on machine maintenance, we cut corners on cleaning. In the past, we had, let's say around 16 hours of manufacturing a day and a cleaning team for eight hours at night. We went to five hours of cleaning after 27 hours of manufacturing and it is the employees who have little or no training, even temporary workers, who do the cleaning", laments Maryse Treton, a trade unionist from the CGT agri-food.
