112 billion dirhams increase in government revenues last year

The combined revenues of the UAE, which includes the revenues of the federal government in addition to the revenues of the local governments of each emirate, recorded a significant increase during the past year, estimated at 112 billion dirhams, equivalent to more than 30%, to reach 480 billion dirhams, compared to 368 billion in the year of the spread of Corona 2020.


The combined expenses also increased, including Its value is 36 billion dirhams, recorded at the end of last year, 389 billion dirhams, with an annual growth rate of 10% compared to the expenditures of the year 2020, estimated at 353 billion dirhams.


According to statistics, revenues exceeded expenses with a surplus of 90 billion dirhams during the past year.


Taxes accounted for the largest share of government revenues, contributing 196 billion dirhams to the total revenue.
