• Income 2022 How to request the draft of the Income Statement 2021-2022

The Tax Agency is going to significantly increase its control over taxpayers who own cryptocurrencies.

So much so, that the number of

notices that the Treasury will issue this year for virtual currencies reaches 233,000

, a figure that is already very relevant.

But if it is compared with the data from last year, this greater control is even more evident: in 2020 communications remained at just 14,800.

That is, the increase is

more than 1,400%

.

"The number of notices about virtual currencies is much higher than the previous year. The reason why the figure increases over that corresponding to the last campaign is because the information sent by financial entities has been expanded, which fundamentally corresponds to the increase produced in operations with virtual currencies in recent times", explains the Tax Agency, which today has started the Income campaign corresponding to the 2021 financial year

. Much more activity and also much more information from banks,

in definitive.

The body directed by Jesús Gascón is also going to have a strong

income control activity abroad

, with more than 850,000 notices, and

real estate rentals

, an area in which communications will exceed 700,000.

"After several years of notices based on the information from the Administrative Cooperation Directive [DAC] on income abroad, the number is now reduced to concentrate these notices on the most recent information received," explains the Treasury.

And the notices about rentals, for their part, "are nourished by the information on guarantees provided by the Autonomous Communities, the information that is being received again, since the middle of the year, through the model 179 of tourist leases, is already incorporated directly into the fiscal data, so it does not require a specific notice".

Adding these three areas, that of virtual currencies, foreign income and real estate rentals, the

total number of ads reaches 1.8 million

.

Returns and gas stations

Regarding the data on returns during the income campaign, Gascón has announced that the Tax Agency

will return 11,100 million euros to taxpayers

, which represents an increase of almost 6%.

And on advance orders to service stations for the discount of 20 cents on the price of fuel, the director of the agency has indicated that the Treasury expects to reach

3,600 subscription orders today for a value of 220 million

.

This means that "more or less" the Treasury will have agreed to return 90% of the application fees for these advances that the service stations have sent to cover the fuel bonus, reports Europa Press.
