From around March next year, 10 yen will be added for each ride, and 1420 yen will be added for 6 months for the commuter pass, but the commuter pass is not applicable.



Since the installation of platform doors to prevent falls has not progressed, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism has established a system in which railway companies add the cost to the fare and have users bear it.



JR East notified the country of the use of this system on the 5th.



Currently, the ratio of platform doors installed on routes in the Tokyo metropolitan area is only about 20% at the end of last month.



JR East plans to cover about 300 billion yen out of about 590 billion yen, which is the cost of installing platform doors, by adding the cost to the fare.



By the end of 2031, we aim to install it in 96% of homes.
