The Securities and Commodities Authority said in a statement that this is the third time that the Nasdaq Stock Exchange has published on the facade of its building a “poster” containing the image of Dr. Maryam Al-Suwaidi, as the first time was in 2016, as part of the “Women in Market Technology” campaign. Then, in 2021, to congratulate her on her selection of the first female chairperson of the Capital Market Authority in the UAE and the GCC.

It is noteworthy that Al-Suwaidi added two important achievements to her record of professional and academic achievements;

When she was chosen by Forbes magazine as one of the five most powerful businesswomen in the Middle East, she was also approved by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) as the first Emirati to be chosen as a certified resident expert in evaluating anti-money laundering and terrorist financing systems, after obtaining a certificate International Diploma in Anti-Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association «ICA».
