April 1st.

The entry into force of

the bonus of 20 cents per liter of fuel

with which the Government intends to alleviate the pockets of citizens has finally arrived, but the "improvisation" with which the measure has been deployed

has condemned the stations of service to having to advance

100% of this help for drivers from their income, which could

cost many of them bankruptcy.

This is how the employers' association,

CEOE

, and the main association of self-employed workers,

ATA

, denounced this Friday, who regret that there is so much uncertainty and that entrepreneurs and self-employed have to assume this burden.

"

It is absolutely unfortunate that the Government

, due to its improvisation, for not having done things well, for not having everything prepared with the entry into force of this bonus,

is forcing

service station entrepreneurs and freelancers

to have to advance the State between 1,000 and 1,500 euros a day,

for their mismanagement and improvisation in the fuel discount. As always, this is like '

I'll invite you to dinner, but you pay

', at least for now," said Lorenzo Amor, president of ATA .

He considers that

the Government is creating a problem for "thousands of businessmen and workers"

and points out to EL MUNDO that there are

gas stations that are closed this Friday

.

This is the case, for example, of the taxi centers in Granada, Córdoba, Málaga and Cádiz, which have preferred to keep the blind down "until the royal decree-law is clarified and the recovery of the discounted amounts is guaranteed."

The CEOE

agrees with this assessment

, which in a statement has shown its solidarity with the Spanish Confederation of Service Station Employers (CEEES) and has warned of the "

dramatic situation

to which the Administration is leading thousands of companies, mostly medium and small, by charging the advance of the bonus of 20 cents per liter of fuel on their working capital".

"

The sector warns of the financial suffocation

that this means for many companies at the moment. CEOE wants to remind, once again, that legal insecurity is the worst enemy of economic activity in times of crisis. In this case, from the field of the service stations,

situations of closure and bankruptcy in the sector are not ruled out at this time

", they warn.

It will end up creating a bigger problem

They also warn that

while the Executive is trying to solve one problem, it is creating another

, since if the stations close, "it will be the same citizens and consuming companies, who are intended to be favored with the discount on diesel, who will see themselves in last term harmed by incidents in the supply".

The

Ministry of Finance

reported this Thursday that as of today, April 1, service stations could start

asking for advances - between 1,000 and 2 million euros -

to be able to deal with this discount that they have to apply in drivers bill.

However, although it can be requested from this Friday,

the Tax Agency will not start making the first disbursements until next week.

This means that there will be a period of time in which

gas stations will have to advance that amount

by law, whether they have the capacity to do so or not.

Given the entry into force of this discount this Friday,

many drivers have waited to refuel

, hence queues are expected at the stations and an increase in demand that will also strain the liquidity of the stations.
