After three attacks in less than a week, Israel is strengthening its security, increasing incursions into the occupied West Bank.
And the climate is extremely tense with the approach of Ramadan because the population - Israeli as Palestinian - fears reprisals.
The recent attacks recall the dark days of the Second Intifada, the Palestinian uprising from 2001 to 2005.

Two Palestinians aged 17 and 23 were killed with live ammunition by Israeli soldiers.
It was early, March 31, during a raid in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern occupied West Bank.
Multiplication of operations
The Palestinian Ministry of Health also speaks of about fifteen other seriously injured.
A few hours later, this time, in the south of the country, between the cities of Hebron and Bethlehem, near the Israeli settlement Elazar, a Palestinian seriously injured an Israeli passenger on a bus by stabbing him before being directly shot by another passenger, who was armed.
It must be said that since Wednesday evening, the Israeli army has been increasing operations in the occupied West Bank and additional soldiers have been deployed after the attack which killed five people on Tuesday March 29 in the streets of
Bnei Brak
, in the suburbs of Tel Aviv, the third in a week in the Jewish state.
Highest level of alert
The Israeli police are therefore at the highest level of alert since May last year and the situation is only getting worse.
Especially since this increased violence, this reinforcement of security, and this heavy atmosphere, in Israel as in the Palestinian Territories, comes just before Ramadan, the holy month for Muslims, which also marks the first anniversary of the clashes and the eleven days of war that took place last May.
