China News Service, Hefei, March 29 (Xu Qian and Zhang Jun) On March 28, the first pier of the Nanjing-Maanshan Intercity Railway, which was contracted by China Railway (Shanghai) Investment Group Co., Ltd., was successfully poured, marking the completion of the construction of the first pier of the Nanjing-Maanshan Intercity Railway. The construction of the pier body of the intercity railway (Ma'anshan section) officially kicked off, laying a solid foundation for the follow-up construction to be completed as scheduled.

The Nanjing-Maanshan Intercity Railway (Maanshan Section) starts from the border between Jiangsu Province and Anhui Province and ends at Dangtu South Station. The total length of the line is 27.726km, including 26.48km of elevated line, 0.66km of tunnel and 0.58km of roadbed.
There are 8 stations on the whole line, all of which are elevated stations, including one Dangtu South Depot.
The construction content includes civil engineering, mechanical and electrical equipment systems, and comprehensive engineering of the whole line.
The total contract value is 5.23 billion yuan, and the total construction period of the project is 40 months.
The "first pier" is located in the middle of Jiuhua East Road and Donghu Road, Yushan District, Ma'anshan City, Anhui Province. It is a bridge between Yushan East Road Station and Jiuhua Road Station. The pier number is 43# and the pier height is 11.5 meters.
In order to ensure this construction, the construction personnel strengthened the all-round management and control of the whole process according to the construction requirements of the first project, organized and implemented the pouring construction, and appointed personnel and responsibilities from the aspects of technical preparation, safety card control, material and equipment guarantee, etc. All preparations before pouring ensured the smooth pouring of the first pier.

After the project is completed, the comprehensive travel time between the downtown areas of Ma'anshan and Nanjing will be shortened to about 40 minutes.
At the same time, Anhui Province will add a "golden channel" that integrates into the Yangtze River Delta, which will help to connect the central urban area of Nanjing and the main urban area of Ma'anshan for rapid commuting, accelerate the development of the same city between Nanjing and Ma, and promote the high-quality economic development of Anhui and Jiangsu provinces.
