As a result of the war in Ukraine, the price of gasoline has skyrocketed in recent weeks.

To relieve the budget of the French, the State has planned to finance a reduction of 18 centimes per liter from Friday.

But some stations are already lowering prices to attract customers.

Example in Franconville.

REPORT

A refueling increasingly difficult to finance.

With the war in Ukraine and the sanctions imposed on Russia, the main oil exporter in Europe, the price of a liter of gasoline has soared in recent weeks.

So to help French motorists, the state has planned to finance a reduction of 18 cents per litre.

Even if the reduction will only operate on Friday, some petrol stations have taken the lead by already offering this discount, as in Franconville in Val-d'Oise.

With unleaded at 1.985 euros and diesel at 2.09 euros in this station, motorists find a little smile.

The price is almost twenty cents lower than last week, which has not escaped the notice of customers.

Many cars are starting to line up in front of the pump.

Mourad made a detour of a few kilometers on purpose to refuel.

“I avoid the rush that there is likely to be on Friday”

"There is only this station where it has dropped a little, that's why I come here. I plan my trip for the holidays. I filled up and like that, I am well", explains he.

A hook that allows him to leave with a full tank.

Mourad spent just over 75 euros, 15 euros cheaper than his last tank of gas.

A little further, Magalie takes her car every day to go to work.

She too jumped at the chance.

"It's true that there, it's starting to get expensive. And when I saw that it had started a little earlier, it was the opportunity. Above all, I avoid the crush that it risks 'have Friday,' she says.

They are now eagerly waiting for all stations to apply this reduction in turn.
