The Leclerc service station in Franconville (Val-d'Oise) anticipated the next reduction of at least 15 cents per liter of gasoline applied in 13,000 points of sale from April 1.

The promotion was launched there on Monday.

Many motorists made the trip to take advantage of the discount in advance, says Le Parisien.

Back to February prices

On site, diesel was thus displayed at 1.97 euro while SP98 was offered at 1.86 euro and SP95-E10 gasoline at 1.78 euro.

These are the lowest prices since February and the start of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Elsewhere, the liter is sold on average at 2.12 euros for diesel and 1.98 euros for SP95-E10.

A motorist, however, noted that even with a discount, fares remain higher than those seen three months ago.

This should not prevent drivers from flocking en masse from this Friday to the stations applying the measure decided by the State.
