ADNOC Distribution opens a dedicated natural gas refueling station in Abu Dhabi

ADNOC Distribution has opened its first stations dedicated solely to CNG refueling in the country.

The company confirmed that the traditional "Al Zahia" fuel station on Al Falah Street in Abu Dhabi has undergone a comprehensive renovation, and is now providing natural gas vehicles with easy and quick access to the heart of the capital.

According to the company, the "Al Zahia" plant is one of 30 stations where CNG is currently available throughout the country, and is part of a strategic move to supply CNG sites to suitable and better equipped locations, giving drivers of natural gas vehicles wider options to supply it. .

high demand

Bader Saeed Al-Lamki, CEO of ADNOC Distribution, said that the demand for compressed natural gas has risen steadily in recent years, whether from large companies, including taxi companies, or from ordinary consumers.

He added, "The new station aims to provide convenient and easy access in the center of the capital to supply CNG, and it contains four pumps," pointing out that there are seven service stations that provide CNG in Abu Dhabi, and other stations in the country.

alternative fuel

It is noteworthy that ADNOC Distribution has been providing this alternative fuel in its stations for more than 10 years, as the first car was converted to run on natural gas in September 2010.

So far, more than 10,000 cars have been converted to run on natural gas.

CNG burns more efficiently than conventional fuels, which helps reduce pollution and carbon emissions.

Natural gas is also one of the safest and most cost-effective types of automobile fuels available.
