They have had to go through 12 days of strikes and protests throughout the country, the near collapse of the supply and distribution chain, the losses in factories and companies in sectors such as agri-food, the shortage of many supermarkets and the spread of social unrest to general level so that the Government has accepted to receive the calling platform of the transporters' strikes.

The crisis in the sector has been rising in level as the days passed.

What began as claims to pay less for professional diesel, whose price has skyrocketed after the invasion of Ukraine, soon mutated into a quasi-ideological conflict in which no one wanted to budge.

Minister Raquel Sánchez's statements unleashed unrest among the strikers, who on several occasions have claimed to feel "criminalized."
