China News Service, March 25. According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. According to the requirements of the Implementation Measures for Recall Management Regulations, the recall plan has been filed with the State Administration for Market Regulation, and the following vehicles will be recalled from March 25, 2022.

  Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. is recalling some C-segment vehicles with production dates between March 26, 2021 and September 22, 2021, totaling 4,628 vehicles.

Due to the software development deviation of the vehicles within the scope of this recall, the engine control unit memory may not be able to correctly write the engine start data, resulting in the just-started engine being shut down and unable to be restarted, increasing the risk of vehicle collision and posing a safety hazard.

  Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. recalls some imported A-Class, B-Class, E-Class, CLA, CLS, GLC SUVs with production dates between October 29, 2018 and June 18, 2021. GLB SUV, GLE SUV, GLS SUV, AMG GT cars, a total of 38,318 vehicles; Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. recalls some domestically produced A-Class, E-Class, GLA production dates from August 15, 2018 to October 13, 2021 , GLB SUV, GLC SUV, EQC cars, a total of 17,312 vehicles.

When the vehicles within the scope of this recall are started, the MBUX multimedia display may not start normally, resulting in the image of the rear-view camera that assists the driver in reversing cannot be displayed on the display, posing a potential safety hazard.

  Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the MBUX multimedia system (intelligent human-computer interaction system) software for the vehicles within the recall scope free of charge through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology; for Vehicles that cannot be recalled through the over-the-air update (OTA) technology will contact the relevant users through the Mercedes-Benz authorized service center to upgrade the vehicle software for free to eliminate potential safety hazards.
