Zhongxin Finance, March 25. On the 25th, the Shanghai Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau issued a situation report saying that the high price of potatoes sold by the Lianhua Supermarket Yanping Road store was due to the wrong price.

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Supervision stated that on March 24, in response to citizens’ reports that Lianhua Supermarket’s Yanping Road store was selling potatoes at high prices, the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau attached great importance to it and immediately organized law enforcement officers to investigate and verify the relevant situation.

After investigation, the staff of the store printed the potato part, which should be priced at 7.8 yuan/kg, as 107.8 yuan/kg on March 24 due to operational errors.

A total of 104 potatoes were sold that day, two of which were sold at 107.8 yuan/kg at 10:36 and 12:37 respectively.

After the tally staff found the wrong price during the inspection process, before the law enforcement officers went to the scene to check, they had voluntarily adjusted the price to 7.8 yuan/kg, and posted a notice in the business premises to recall the wrongly priced goods.

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Supervision said that after checking the relevant sales records on the spot, the sales price of potatoes in the store was 7.8 yuan/kg before, and there was no abnormality in the prices of other products.

As of 18:45 on March 24, one consumer has gone to the store to complete the refund.

It is preliminarily concluded that the store's behavior of selling potatoes at high prices was not intentional, and it has voluntarily completed rectification and posted a recall notice.

Law enforcement officers criticized and educated the store and reminded it.

The Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Supervision reminds another consumer to get in touch with the merchant as soon as possible to complete the refund.
