The so-called minimum wage standard refers to the minimum labor remuneration that the employer should pay according to law, provided that the laborer provides normal labor within the legal working hours or the working hours agreed in the labor contract signed in accordance with the law.

Different administrative regions within the scope of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government may have different minimum wage standards.

On March 22, the Hunan Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security issued the "Notice on the Adjustment of Minimum Wage Standards in Hunan Province in 2022" to clarify that from April 1, the monthly minimum wage standards in Hunan Province will be adjusted to: 1930 yuan / month, 1740 yuan / Month, 1550 yuan / month.

The minimum wage standards in Chongqing and Fujian provinces will also be raised from April 1!

According to previously announced information, after the adjustment, the monthly minimum wage standard in Fujian is divided into four grades, namely 2030 yuan/month, 1960 yuan/month, 1810 yuan/month, 1660 yuan/month; Chongqing is divided into two grades, 2100 yuan respectively /month, 2000 yuan/month.

  4 places on the road

Qinghai and Hebei are considering raising the minimum wage.

The "Qinghai Province 2022 Government Work Report" mentioned that "implementing adjustment policies such as taxation, social security, and transfer payments, and reasonably adjusting the minimum wage standard." According to media reports, the Hebei Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security previously stated that it plans to adjust the minimum wage in 2022. The salary standard is currently being evaluated and calculated.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued a document in 2015 that clearly stated that in the future, the minimum wage standard will be adjusted from at least once every two years to at least once every two to three years.

Sino-Singapore Jingwei combing found that Beijing, Tianjin, Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Liaoning and other 22 provinces will adjust the minimum wage in 2021 or early 2022, and the increase in 2022 may be smaller; but the last adjustment time for Sichuan and Yunnan provinces was 2018 , the current standard has been implemented for more than three years.

Sino-Singapore Jingwei called the Yunnan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Telephone Consultation Service Line on the 22nd, and the customer service staff confirmed that the standards issued in 2018 are still implemented, and "there is no follow-up update".

Subsequently, Sino-Singapore Jingwei called the Sichuan Provincial Human Resources and Social Security Consulting Hotline, but could not get through; after calling the 12345 government service convenience hotline in Meishan City, Sichuan Province, the customer service staff said, "Meishan City is still implementing the 2018 (promulgated) )standard."

Su Jian, director of the National Economic Research Center of Peking University and professor of the School of Economics, told Sino-Singapore Jingwei, "According to relevant regulations, Yunnan and Sichuan provinces are more likely to adjust the minimum wage standards in 2022, and the adjustment rate will mainly depend on the local economic strength. ."

How does it affect your wallet?

Su Jian emphasized, "The minimum wage standard is a protective measure for vulnerable groups, and it is certain that the wages of the vast majority of people are higher than it." But this means that the adjustment has nothing to do with you?

In fact, many benefits are linked to the minimum wage standard. When the minimum wage standard is raised, the relevant benefits will also increase.

Taking Beijing as an example, at the beginning of 2020, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security issued the "Notice on Issues Concerning Maintaining the Stability of Labor Relations during Epidemic Prevention and Control", which mentioned that during the medical treatment period of employees, enterprises should pay sick leave according to the labor contract or collective contract. Wages and sick leave wages shall not be lower than 80% of the minimum wage in Beijing.

In addition, the "Regulations on Unemployment Insurance" stipulates that the standard of unemployment insurance shall be determined by the people's governments of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government in accordance with the level lower than the local minimum wage standard and higher than the minimum living security standard of urban residents.

The "Opinions on Several Issues Concerning the Implementation of the "Labor Law of the People's Republic of China" also requires that after the laborer has formed or established a labor relationship with the employer, during the probationary, skilled and probationary periods, he or she provides normal labor within the statutory working hours. Employers should pay wages not lower than the minimum wage.
