Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the import and export freight volume of the mountainside international intermodal railway has maintained a steady growth.

The mountainside international intermodal railway was opened to traffic on March 31, 1910. It is the first international railway in China. It undertakes the function of goods circulation between China and the countries of the Indochina Peninsula. It is a convenient channel for interconnection between the southwest region and Vietnam.

The Hekou Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station ensures the safety and stability of border ports by implementing a series of epidemic prevention measures such as independent combat units, entry personnel not getting off vehicles, contactless witness verification, and nucleic acid testing once a day.

On the basis of ensuring zero input of the epidemic, the station effectively ensured the safe and smooth flow of import and export goods such as iron ore, coke, sulfur, ammonium sulfate, etc., and fully promoted local economic development.
