Since the start of the war in Ukraine on February 24, around 20,000 refugees have arrived in France.

In the North, Lener Cordier, a company that manufactures coats, has decided to repatriate five of its employees from its factories in Ukraine to work in Hazebrouck.

More than three million Ukrainians have already fled their country since the beginning of the war, three weeks ago and among them, around 20,000 are welcomed in France.

Sometimes they work, like five of them in Hazebrouck, in the North.

The company Lener Cordier, which manufactures coats, has decided to repatriate them, offering them employment and accommodation.

"We use the translator on the computer"

In the offices of this textile company, we have been hearing Ukrainian for a week.

Nadia, from kyiv, takes measurements on a dummy: "My job is exactly the same as in Ukraine. I make patterns for clothes. My priority is that the business continues to operate despite what is happening. happens in my country", she explains at the microphone of Europe 1.

Nadia had been working in the Ukrainian capital for twenty-two years.

Overnight, she had to flee with her two daughters and her granddaughter.

So, of course, at work, there is the language barrier, but the exchanges take place between employees even if it is quite complicated since they have to "use English, Ukrainian, Russian. We makes signs or we use the translator on the computer", decrypts Nadia.

10,000 job vacancies in companies for Ukrainians 

Everyone is making an effort, insists this Ukrainian who plans to take French lessons.

It was his boss who suggested that he come to France with his family.

Hélène, one of the employees, lends them accommodation: "They are our colleagues. We are touched by what is happening. It seemed obvious to me to help them. We tell ourselves that otherwise, we were in this situation, we would like although someone helps us," she said.

And this company, which employs 250 people in Ukraine, has already sent two humanitarian convoys there.

For its part, the Federation of Integration Companies announces that companies in the sector are offering 10,000 jobs to be filled by the end of June for Ukrainian refugees.
