Last year, the number of married couples was 193,000.



It is the first time in history that marriages have fallen below 200,000.

And the divorce rate decreased in all cases for 10, 20, and 30 years of marriage, but only those who had lived together for more than 30 years increased.



The so-called twilight divorces increased by 20% in two years, from 15,000 in 2019 to 16,600 in 2020 and 17,900 last year.



As the number of divorces at dusk increased, the average age of divorced people was 50.1 years old for men and 46.8 years old for women.



Statistics Korea analyzed that as the aging population increases and life expectancy increases, more and more couples are living freely through divorce for the rest of their lives.
