The National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) announced this Monday its decision to suspend "precautionary and with immediate effect" the listing of
Mediaset España
"while relevant information about the entity is disseminated."
This has been announced by the CNMV in a statement, in which it specifies that it suspends the listing of the group "in the Stock Exchanges and in the Stock Exchange Interconnection System, of the shares and other securities that may give the right to their subscription, acquisition or sale; and in MEFF Sociedad Rectora del Mercado de Productos Derivados, SAU of the contracts on the aforementioned shares".
The suspension comes after Bloomberg has published that
Media For Europe,
the group's parent company, is considering making a takeover bid (OPA) for the entire firm to delist it from the stock market.
